How the Frequency of Gratitude Can Raise Your Vibration

The frequency of gratitude - It’s not just an emotion — it can be a way of being that can enhance your health and wellness! I want to share with you why cultivating thankfulness can shift your mindset and how you can make it part of your lifestyle. 

For a few years now, I have been waking up with low level anxiety. Perhaps it’s from the loss I experienced in life - not feeling safe. Last year I attended a workshop on mindfulness and gratitude. They suggested thinking of 3 things that you are grateful for before you get out of bed in the morning. Ever since, I have been doing this on a regular basis, and it has definitely helped to ease that anxious feeling. 

To find that spark of joy in you which is your birthright is easier than you think, even thought it does take paying more attention to your thoughts. Over time you start to create new neural pathways in your brain that rewire you to be more accepting and content. 

We can’t always change what’s going on around us, but we certainly can control how we react - and that’s what gratitude helps us with - to remember that we have the power to cultivate that frequency of gratitude. This begins by making the decision, using your Will, that you wish to make this change. 

So how can being in gratitude shift our mindset? Well it starts with vibration - I think most of you have heard that everything is vibration. Everything in our existence is part of an interconnected web of electromagnetic vibrational frequencies.

All things animate or inanimate have an energy field that has its own vibrational frequency, which is the speed of the vibration of the atoms and particles. This is measured in hertz (Hz) units. The faster the vibration, the higher the frequency.

The idea of developing an emotional frequency chart originated from research done by psychiatrist Dr. David R. Hawkins in his book Power vs. Force. While traditional science is still working on how to measure the frequency of emotions, this chart is more of a framework to guide you to start thinking of vibration as a frequency with different emotions, thoughts, and feelings attached. 

If you can get the perception that your thoughts vibrate on different levels, it makes it easier to understand how profoundly you can be affected by the exalted emotions, like love and gratitude.

According to this chart, appreciation vibrates at around 540 MHz - very close to the level as love. Considering biologist Bruce Tainio’s research that found that your body resonates at a frequency of 62-78 MHz, this is quite an increase. 

Another researcher, Bio-physicist Glen Rein has found that a state of heart coherence can repair and activate your DNA. In other words, when we focus our intention and emotion in a positive way, as in being thankful, we can statistically increase our chance of healing.

Also German researchers at the University of Kassel, Germany, found that the heart of an average person emits 20 photons of light per second. Someone in a state of appreciation and loving kindness emits 100,000 photons per second.

Scientific research aside, simply being grateful just makes you feel good. So I’d like to share some ways I have been practicing thankfulness. 

1. As I said earlier, before I get out of bed in the morning, I choose 3 things that I’m grateful for. 

2. Before I start a meal, I will bless the food and say a prayer of thanks to the plants, the animal, the people who grew and processed the food,etc. 

3. I also donate regularly to our local food bank, which really makes my appreciate being able to get food. 

4. Random acts of kindness - Several times at Dunkin Donuts I’ve paid the bill of the person behind me. Or I’ve paid someone’s toll on a highway. Or just thanking a checkout person using their name. 

5. This is a big one for me - I  thank my body for everything it’s doing for me - without judgment. I put my hands on my body parts and thank them one by one. 

Despite the absence the absolute scientific proof, from what I have experienced as a sound therapist, I do believe that when you practice appreciation you are raising your vibrational frequency. 

And the more you do this, you will creating new neural pathways which will become hardwired in your brain and entrained in your body to start to become your normal state of being. The higher the frequency of your energy, the lighter you feel in your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies.
